AAC MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Locked up the 2017 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Swimming Championship, edging out second-place Asbury University by only 24 points
- The meet was held at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in the HMG Competition Pool in Kingsport, Tennessee
- The Golden Bears maintained first place throughout the three-day event, but Asbury was continually hot on its tail
- Tech won with 633 total points, while Asbury compiled 609 total points
- Tech's own, David Dent took home Coach of the Year
- Golden Bear champions that were crowned include:
AAC WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Earned runners-up in the AAC Championships held over three days
- The Golden Bears finished with 488 team points while AAC champions, Asbury University, produced 606 team points

LAST SERIES
- Dropped two games on during the Coker Spring Tournament hosted by Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina
- The Golden Bears dropped game one 9-1 to Columbus State before falling in the night cap, 9-0, to King University
- Freshman Ashley Daniels knocked her first collegiate home run for Tech's score against Columbus State
- Daniels, who hit the homer in her first at bat of the game, finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a RBI and run scored
- Senior Genna Trippett (0-1) pitched 2.0 innings for the loss, giving up five hits and two earned runs
- Tech registered three hits in the loss including one each from sophomore Skylar Connelly, Daniels and Huck
- Connelly marked a double and a stolen base in the night cap
- Senior Mackenzie Wilson (0-3) drew the start in the circle and pitched 4.1 innings for the loss.
- Wilson struck out one batter and gave up eight hits and five earned runs.
GETTING THERE
- Freshman Luke Jobson qualified for the NAIA National Championships while competing in the 3000 Meter Race Walk at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic
- Jobson finished the race with a time of 13:39.56 for a third place finish
- Lynch threw 15.23 meters in the shot put towards a first place finish at the Bast-Cregger Invitational to earn a spot at Nationals

LAST SERIES
- Split a doubleheader with University of Pikeville Sunday afternoon, 1-1
- The Golden Bears (4-8) dropped game one 4-6 before defeating the Bears (9-5) in the night cap, 4-2
- The Golden Bears scored four in the third inning including a three-run homerun from freshman Jacob Reimold but UPIKE answered back with a five-run fifth inning to earn the victory
- Reimold finished a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate to go with three RBI and a run scored
- Senior Jarron Monroe (0-1) drew the start on the mound, putting in 4.1 innings of work for the loss
- Monroe scattered four earned runs and three hits while striking out three batters
- Tech was trailing 2-1 until a three-run fifth inning gave them the edge and the eventual win, 4-2 over Pikeville
- Senior Tanner Levine hit a single to left center to drive in junior Abraham Alejandro for run two
- Fellow classmate Wyatt Belinda followed that with a double RBI that drove Levine in
- The final score came from Belinda crossing the plate off a single from junior Roland Eusebio
- On the mound, junior Jerod Jobst (2-0) pitched a complete game for the win. Jobst gave up just two hits and one earned run while striking out six batters
