- Dropped the River States Conference Game of the Week to University of Rio Grande, 82-74, in the Baisi Athletic Center.
- Earlier this season when the teams met, Tech came away with the win, 86-72 on January 14 in Rio Grande, Ohio.
- The teams are now both 3.5 games back from No. 21 IU East (13-1 RSC) to give them the No. 2 spot in the East Division of the conference.
- Senior Cheyanna Lusk had a standout game, including a perfect 12-for-12 effort from the bonus line towards her game-high 27 points.
- The Cyclone, West Virginia native also dished seven assists, grabbed seven boards and took four steals.
- Junior Zjhane West was Tech's next leading scorer, pouring in 16 points after 31 minutes of play. West also had six rebounds, four steals and three assists.
- Senior Brooke Gee produced nine points and five rebounds while sophomores Alexandra Combs and Savannah Shamblin had eight points each.
- The team was held to just 36.5 percent (23-for-63) shooting from the field and 15.8 percent (3-for-19) from three-point range.
- The RedStorm outrebounded Tech, 46-26 but the Golden Bears held the advantage in turnovers, 14-26.

- Men's basketball is enjoying an 11-game winning streak after defeating University of Rio Grande in River States Conference (RSC) action.
- The Gold and Blue still maintain the top spot in the East Division of the conference while Rio Grande is six games back at No. 4. No. 7 IU East is No. 2 in the division with a RSC record of 11-3.
- Junior Ryan Atkins finished 11-for-14 from the bonus line towards his team-high 20 points while grabbing five rebounds, dishing five assists, marking a block and grabbing two steals.
- Junior Michael Scott poured in 19 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field to go with four rebounds and an assist.
- Fellow classmate Elisha Boone produced a double-double effort of a game-best 12 boards and scoring 11 points. Boone also had five assists in the win.
- Freshman Junior Arrey also hit double-digits with 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting to go with two assists.
- Junior Kievonn Banks made a difference under the basket with six rebounds.
- The team shot 50.8 percent from the floor while holding the RedStorm to 35.7 percent. Tech also held the advantage in rebounds, 43-33.

LAST MEET
- Women's swimming finished the regular season with a dual record of 3-2 after defeating Wheeling Jesuit University 91-69 in Wheeling, West Virginia.
- Sophomore Mariana Loureiro touched first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 3:35.92.
- Senior Francine Meyer finished first in the 50 freestyle (25.63) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.63).
- Junior Kendra Monnin swam a time of 2:18.73 for a first place touch in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:10.30.
- Sophomore Isabela Kiesewetter Zandavalli took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.23.
- Men's swimming finished the regular season undefeated, 5-0, in duals after defeating Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia.
- Freshman Manuel Laguna Gomez finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:53.45) and the 500 freestyle (4:55.70).
- Sophomore Arthur Bertrand swam a time of 2:09.30 for a first place touch in the 200 IM and was first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.90.
- Freshman Paulo Ignacio, Jr. took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.57 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.52.

LAST MEET
- Freshman Luke Jobson qualified for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships (March 2-4) while competing in the 3000 Meter Race Walk at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic in Findlay, Ohio.
- In a competition that WVU Tech men's and women's track and field squads participated in as individuals only, Jobson finished the race with a time of 13:39.56 for a third place finish.
- This is the the second time the Sydney, NSW, Australia native will participate nationally in the Race Walk competition.
- Last season Jobson participated in the 5000 Meter Race Walk during the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships where he earned All-American accolades with a sixth place finish (26:43.18).
- Jobson, who's time in the 3000 Meter Race Walk puts him at No. 3 in the nation (NAIA), joins fellow Golden Bear sophomore Daniel Lynch who threw 15.23 meters in the shot put towards a first place finish at the Bast-Cregger Invitational, earning a spot at the championship to be held in Johnson City, Tennessee.
LAST COMPETITION
- Traveled to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where they faced host school Wilkes University along with Rochester Institute of Technology and University of Scranton in a quad-match.
- The Golden Bears fell to Wilkes (34-9), RIT (32-9) and Scranton (33-11) and now hold a dual record of 3-8 this season.
- In the first match against RIT, Louis Bernard (165) and Terry Nance II (197) both scored victories by decision.
- Against Scranton, senior Paul Gonzales (125), freshman Leland Swafford (149) and Bernard came away with wins at their respective weights.
- In the final match of the day against Wilkes, senior Colton Rowe scored a win by decision (10-9) while junior Casey Hogg (285) marked Tech's only fall of the day over Wilkes' Santana-Quantana at 1:27.

LAST DOUBLE HEADER
- Split 1-1 Saturday after they defeated host school Brewton-Parker College 7-2 before falling to (RV) Southeastern University 9-2.
- The Golden Bears hold a record of 2-2 now in this young season after a four-game road trip in Mount Vernon, Georgia.
- Freshman Michael Rotenberry saw five innings of action on the mound, earning the win against the Barons after striking out five batters and five Golden Bears earned a RBI each in the win.
- In Tech's loss, senior Doug Prather drove in both runs for the Golden Bears.
