CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- Despite a 21-9 run in the fourth quarter, WVU Tech women's basketball dropped a 72-60 decision at Ohio Christian University during River States Conference (RSC) action Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears are now 16-10, 8-6 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 19-8, 10-5 (RSC).
The East Division teams split this season, 1-1, as Tech took the win on December 13, 71-64, in Montgomery, West Virginia.
The Gold and Blue are now tied with University of Rio Grande (8-6 RSC) at 5.5 games back and a No. 3 spot in the East Division of the conference. The Trailblazers are 4.0 games back at No. 2 while No. 20 Indiana University East (14-1 RSC) holds the top spot.
Tech will face No. 20 IU East this Saturday in Richmond, Indiana. When the two teams met earlier this season, the Red Wolves went home with the victory, 85-72 on December 17.

Laura Requena produced a team-high 14 points to go with seven rebounds. Sophomore
Savannah Shamblin poured in 12 points and had eight boards.

Carlie Biehl-Wilson rounded out Tech's top scorers with 11 points while pulling down a team-best nine rebounds.
Ohio Christian was led by Deshay Thomas and Shawntell Parsons who had 14 points each while Erinn Bailey had a double-double effort of 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Golden Bears were held to just 37.7 percent (23-for-61) shooting from the field and 30.8 percent (4-for-13) from three-point range.
The game against No. IU East this Saturday is scheduled for 1 p.m.
