LAST SERIES
- Earned their first victory of the 2017 campaign with a 1-0 score over Calumet College of St. Joseph.
- The Golden Bears then dropped the final game of the day to Hannibal-LaGrange University, 3-8.
- In Sunday's win, freshman Karina Atanacio scored Tech's winning run and pitched a complete game for the Golden Bears.

- Off a single from junior MaKayla Waugh, who finished 2-for-2 at the plate, Atanacio crossed the plate in the second inning for Tech's winning run.
- Atanacio (1-4) pitched a complete game for her first collegiate win in the circle.
- The Middletown, Delaware native struck out four batters and gave up six hits.

- Senior Lexi Huck propelled her third career and first home run of the season in the second inning for Tech's first score.
- Runs two and three came from a single hit by junior Kayla Harbin that drove in Waugh and sophomore Skylar Connelly.
- Connelly finished with two hits including a double in the loss while Harbin also marked two hits to go with two RBI.
- In the circle, senior Genna Trippett (0-2) pitched 3.1 innings for the loss.
- Trippett struck out two batters while giving up four hits and one earned run.
- Freshman Sydney Smith drew the start, putting in 2.2 innings of work, scattering three hits and two earned runs while retiring two batters via strikes.

LAST SERIES
- Earned a 5-0 shutout in game three and a 9-6 victory in the final contest, earning the series sweep (4-0) against Cincinnati Christian University to open up River States Conference play in 2017.
- The Golden Bears (8-8, 4-0 RSC) defeated the Eagles (2-10, 0-4) 4-2 and 3-2 on Saturday in East Bank, West Virginia.
- On the mound, senior Chris Davidson (2-1) threw a complete game, scattering four hits while striking out five Eagles in the 5-0 shutout.
- Freshman Michael Rotenberry (1-0) earned his first collegiate win in the night cap, putting in 2.0 innings of work, giving up just three hits and no earned runs.
- Redshirt junior Garrison Vandeventer (0-1-3) recorded his third save of the weekend, pitching for the third out on bases loaded in the final game of the series.
GETTING TO THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
- Received an at-large berth and enters the tournament as a No. 7 seed.
- The trip to Point Lookout will mark the second national tournament appearance for men's basketball since 1988 and first appearance at the DII level.
- The Golden Bears competed in the NAIA DI tournament in 1957, 1982, 1988 and 2015 with an 0-4 overall record.
- In 2015, Tech fell to top seed Hope International 70-67 in the first round.
- Tech finished the season with a 23-8 overall record after falling in a semifinal of the River States Conference Tournament to No. 5 Indiana University Southeast, 90-81.
- Robert Morris (26-6) earned an automatic berth by being the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (CCAC) regular season champions.
- The Golden Bears hold six top-five rankings in the NAIA DII including top spot in offensive rebounds per game (15.387).
- Tech is No. 2 in total rebound margin (12.645) while ranking No. 3 in total rebounds per game (44), No. 4 in scoring margin (16.032) and No. 5 in both total rebound offense (1,364) and total rebound defense (31.355).
