PIKEVILLE, Kentucky -- WVU Tech volleyball earned their tenth win of the season after taking a 3-0 victory over the University of Pikeville Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears totaled 43 kills and eight service aces as a team to boost their record to 10-3 while the Bears managed 27 kills and are now 4-8 in 2017.
Senior
Bailey Lotozo posted 15 kills while freshman
Lauren McCall had 13 and junior
Ana Monteiro tallied six. Monteiro also marked a match-high four service aces while Lotozo and junior
Konstantina Pateli had two each.
Pateli dished out 35 assists and now has 449 this season. Freshman
Sawyer Hawgood was on top with 12 digs while Monteiro had seven and Lotozo marked six.
The Golden Bears hold two top-15 rankings in the nation (NAIA) as a team including No. 12 in hitting percentage (.251) and No. 13 in total service aces (94).
Up next, Tech will travel to Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana for the SMWC Volleyball Classic held September 15-16.
