BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball dropped a 3-2 River States Conference (RSC) match against Carlow University in Beckley, West Virginia Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears (16-5, 0-2 RSC) and Celtics (8-10, 1-3 RSC) played to set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-17 and 12-15.
Tech recorded 55 kills as a team including a team- and season-high 21 from senior
Bailey Lotozo. Lotozo also posted five digs and two block solos.
Freshman
Lauren McCall and junior
Ana Monteiro both finished with double-doubles after five sets. McCall had 14 of each in kills and digs while Monteiro marked 15 digs and 12 kills.
Freshman
Adrianna Mitchem dished a career-best 41 assists to go with six digs and two kills. Sophomore
Alice Amitrano produced a season-high 15 digs for the Gold and Blue.
The Golden Bears will continue RSC play when they travel to Owensboro, Kentucky on Saturday, September 30 to face host school, Brescia University (10 a.m.), and Indiana University Southeast (12 p.m.).
