- Dropped a 78-61 decision to No. 21 University of Rio Grande in Charleston, West Virginia
- Freshman Alexandria Gray led all of Tech's scorers with 17 points including a 3-for-4 effort from beyond the arc and 6-for-8 from the foul line.
- Gray also had three rebounds and an assist.
- Sophomore Laura Requena also hit double digits for the Gold and Blue, pouring in ten points while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing two assists.
- Senior Zjhane West pulled down seven boards to go with eight points and two assists.
- Sophomore Logan Dudley finished with six rebounds and six points.
- As a team, Tech shot 30.2 percent compared to the RedStorm's 46.2 percent.
- The Golden Bears were also outrebounded by Rio, 50-45.

- Left Charleston, West Virginia happy with a 94-80 win over University of Rio Grande, snapping a three-game losing streak in the process.
- Rio Grande led by as many as nine points in the first half, but Tech's strong shooting — 57.4 percent from the floor and nearly 44 percent from 3-point range — allowed the Golden Bears to lead by as many as 17 in the second half.
