Tech drops OT conference game to Cincinnati Christian

Men's Basketball

BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball dropped an overtime River States Conference (RSC) game to Cincinnati Christian University, 110-103, Thursday evening in Beckley, West Virginia. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 12-9, 6-4 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 10-11, 5-4 (RSC).

Junior Brandon Shingles hit five three-pointers towards a season- and game-high 31 points to go with seven assists and six rebounds.

Fellow classmate Thomas Collins poured in 22 points while senior Michael Scott had 17 points and freshman Tamon Scruggs recorded 16 points. Scott (11 rebounds) and Scruggs (12 rebounds) finished with double-doubles Thursday.

Senior Cole Schoolcraft handled the ball, dishing out six assists to go with four points and three rebounds.

The Gold and Blue continue their home stand when they host Indiana University Kokomo Saturday in the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center.
