BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's basketball picked up another River States Conference (RSC) win with a 69-61 decision over Cincinnati Christian University Thursday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 12-10, 7-4 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 3-15, 1-8 (RSC).
Freshman
Brittney Justice finished 13-for-16 from the field towards a season- and game-best 28 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Junior
Alexandra Combs also hit double-digits for the Gold and Blue, recording 19 points including a 3-for-5 effort from beyond the arc.
Senior
Brett Justice pulled down a game-high six rebounds to go with three points, two blocks and two steals. Sophomore
Logan Dudley finished with five rebounds, four points, three blocks, two steals and two assists.
As a team, Tech shot 50.0 percent across the board including from the field, foul line and three-point range. The Eagles were held to 43.4 percent shooting from the field and a 38.9 percent effort from three-point range.
The Gold and Blue continue their home stand when they host Indiana University Kokomo Saturday in the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center.
