BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech wrestling dropped a 26-25 decision to Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opponent St. Andrews University Friday afternoon in Van Meter Gym. The Golden Bears move to 2-4 in duals this season while the Knights hold a dual record of 1-2.
Senior
Paul Gonzales started the battle at 125 lbs. with a fall (1:57) over St. Andrews' Williams Adame. Fellow classmate
Bryan Overton scored a fall (0:23), wrestling at 174 pounds against the Knight Nick Pruitte.
Tech also picked up team points by bout off of a 7-1 decision (133 lbs.) by senior
Tristan Bean and a 15-2 major decision (165 lbs.) for senior
Corey Palmer.
The Gold and Blue return to the mat quickly, participating in the Jim Crytzer Memorial Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky tomorrow, Saturday.
