BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's basketball dropped a 93-63 decision to Shawnee State University Saturday evening in Beckley. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 1-2 while the Bears stay undefeated at 5-0.
Tech was led by senior 
Alexandra Combs who poured in 16 points including a 4-for-8 effort from three-point range. Combs also pulled down four rebounds to go with three assists, a block and a steal.
Junior 
Logan Dudley finished with 13 points and six rebounds while fellow classmate 
Carlie Biehl-Wilson had ten points and three rebounds.
Freshman 
Madison Vaughn rounded out the top offensive contributors with nine points.
Senior 
Savannah Shamblin dished a game-best nine assists to go with seven points and three rebounds.
Shawnee State was led by Ashton Lovely who marked 33 points.
Tech will return to action Tuesday when they travel to University of Charleston for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
