BABSON PARK, Florida -- WVU Tech baseball dropped a 9-1 non-conference decision at (RV) Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida Monday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 6-15 while the Warriors move to 14-10.
Tech managed five hits in the loss including one each from
Jacob Reimold,
Wyatt Belinda,
Dariel Torres,
Garrison Vandeventer and
Jacob Dingess.
Belinda recorded a double while Reimold scored Tech's lone run in the fourth inning. Reimold also recorded a stolen base.
Casey Elbin (0-1) was dealt the loss on the hill after 1.1 innings of work, giving up two hits and three earned runs.
Trey Dalton drew the start, throwing for 5.0 innings towards seven strike outs, two hits and zero earned runs.
Up next, the Golden Bears will face Warner University today, Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. to finish out Spring Break play in Florida.
