MONTREAT, North Carolina -- WVU Tech softball fell to Mars Hill College 3-2 before dropping a contest to Montreat College 6-5 Sunday afternoon. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 1-9 this season.

Skylar Connelly knocked a double, scored a run and stole a base. Junior
Kacie Cahill also crossed the plate.

Amanda McDonald (0-4) threw a complete game, striking out two while giving up two earned runs and four hits.

Tech had eight hits towards their five runs including two each from Morey and Cahill. Morey recorded a triple while Connelly hit another double.

Karina Atanacio (1-4) struck out five batters in the loss, giving up just one earned run. Sophomore
Madeline Olson threw for an inning, striking out two while giving up two earned runs.
