BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech baseball completed a three-game series with River States Conference (RSC) foe Indiana University Kokomo after a 8-6 victory in Beckley, West Virginia Saturday morning. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 14-27, 7-12 (RSC) while the Cougars move to 25-16, 12-9 (RSC).
Tech dropped the two games Friday with a 5-7 loss followed by a 5-12 decision.

Sophomore
Jacob Reimold started Tech off with the first RBI, driving a single to left center that scored senior
Wyatt Belinda.
Fellow classmate
Dariel Torres followed with a double to left center that crossed Reimold.
Torres marked the Gold and Blue's remaining RBI including a single in the third that drove in Belinda and a two-run home run in the eighth that also crossed Belinda.
Belinda finished the game 4-for-5 at the plate with three runs scored. Torres was 3-for-5 towards four RBI and a run scored.
Senior
Jerod Jobst (3-5) earned the loss on the mound after seven innings of work. Jobst struck out a career-high 11 opponents while giving up ten hits and six earned runs.
Redshirt senior
Garrison Vandeventer finished out the game, striking out one Cougar and giving up two hits.

Michael Rotenberry (1-5), pitching 3.1 innings with three strike outs for the loss.

Dalton Grisell, who tossed for 1.0 innings, retired two Cougars via strikes.

Alex Tennant posted the first RBI in game two for the Golden Bears, scoring Reimold off a Cougar error.

In the final game of the series, Torres sailed his fourth long ball of the season to start Tech's scoring off in the second inning.
The third inning saw five Golden Bear runs with RBI being credited to Reimold, Torres, Schack, Tennant and junior
Juan Perez.
It was the seventh inning that secured the team's win after Belinda hit a triple to right center that crossed junior
Sean Crosby and a ground out to the short stop from Torres that scored Belinda.
Freshman
Calyb King (2-0-1) earned the victory on the bump after throwing for 3.1 innings. The Accident, Maryland native struck out five Cougars while giving up six hits and two earned runs.
Belinda (1-1-3) picked up his third save, replacing King on the mound with a score of 8-6, one out and bases loaded. Belinda, who hails from Alexandria, Pennsylvania, pitched a fly out followed by a ground out to finish the game.
