CINCINNATI, Ohio -- WVU Tech baseball split a River States Conference (RSC) doubleheader at Cincinnati Christian University Thursday including a 2-4 loss after 13 innings in game one and a 10-4 victory in the night cap. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 12-25, 5-11 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 7-20, 5-11 (RSC).

Both teams managed 11 hits each including a Tech-best three hits from
Calen Owens. Owens posted a double and a run scored.
Kurt Latocha posted two hits and a run scored. The lone Golden Bear RBI was credited to
Wyatt Belinda.
On the bases,
Jarrod Woodyard and
Jacob Reimold recorded a steal each.
Michael Rotenberry earned the start on the mound, striking out three Eagles after 5.2 innings of work.
Garrison Vandeventer tossed for 3.2 innings and struck out six batters while Belinda (1-1-2) pitched for 3.0 innings towards one strike out and the loss.

Tech put together 11 more hits in the final game including a 3-for-4 effort from
Sean Crosby who posted three runs scored and a RBI.
Reimold,
Juan Perez and
Brian Schack had two hits a piece. Schack finished with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Reimold scored two runs and marked a RBI while Perez drove a run in and crossed the plate once himself.
Alex Tennant marked two RBI after three at bats.
Corey Lewis and Crosby marked a steal each.
Brett Linton (2-5) grabbed the victory on the bump, posting five strike outs after 4.1 innings.
Will Mullins and
Calyb King also saw action on the mound with King posting a strike out.
Tech and CCU will finish the three-game series tomorrow, Friday with one nine-inning game.
