BRUNSWICK, Georgia -- The WVU Tech volleyball team split, 1-1, in the final day of the Mariner Invitational in Brunswick, Georgia. Tech now holds a record of 2-2 this season after taking the first match, 3-1, over Tennessee Wesleyan before falling to Saint Francis University, 3-0.
Senior
Ana Monteiro recorded a team-high 31 kills Saturday while junior
Konstantina Pateli had 63 assists and sophomore
Sawyer Hawgood tallied 31 digs to lead the team.

Pateli dished out 37 assists to go with 18 digs and a service ace. Monteiro had 17 kills while juniors

Katelyn Byrd and freshman
Valentina Abondano posted eight each.
Hawgood produced a match-high 20 digs on defense while junior
Emily Kidd put down two block solos and Bologna marked four block assists.

Monteiro had 14 kills in the final match of the invitational while Byrd marked 11. Pateli finished with 26 assists and three service aces.
Hawgood picked up 11 digs while junior

Up next, the Gold and Blue will travel to Virginia to face Bluefield College on Tuesday, August 28 at 7 p.m.
