PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- WVU Tech women's soccer fell 2-0 at Point Park University Saturday evening in River States Conference (RSC) play. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 4-4, 1-2 (RSC) while the Pioneers move to 7-4, 4-0 (RSC).
As a team, Tech recorded 11 shots, six on frame including two each from sophomores
Veronica Nobles and
Meghan Rugel.
Point Park's second half goals were scored by Nikki Polens (58') and Tia Horew (67').
Freshman
Jenna Miller protected the net for a complete game in the loss, stopping four Pioneer attempts. Point Park's keeper, Ashtyn Webb, made six Golden Bear stops in the victory.
During Homecoming week at Tech, the Golden Bears will host RSC opponents Brescia University (October 4) and Cincinnati Christian University (Ocotber 6) in Beckley, West Virginia.
