COLUMBIA, South Carolina -- The grapplers of WVU Tech opened their Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) schedule with a 41-12 dual win at Allen University Thursday evening. The Golden Bears are now 3-4, 1-0 (AAC) in duals while the Yellow Jackets move to 0-1, 0-1 (AAC).

Sophomore Devin Wilhelm earned the first points by bout for the Gold and Blue with a 15-0 technical fall at 149 lbs. over Marquez McNeill.

Freshman Cameron Crislip, 165 lbs., posted a fall over Rashaan McKenzie for six Tech points.

The remainder of the Golden Bear points came from forfeit wins over the Yellow Jackets.

Tech will continue AAC action on the mat Sunday when they travel to Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia.
