SUMMERSVILLE, West Virginia -- No. 9 WVU Tech defeated Ohio Christian University in River States Conference (RSC) action at the Summersville Arena and Convention Center Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 20-4, 11-2 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 6-19, 2-11 (RSC).
Tech was led by junior
Dominik King who poured in 20 points including a perfect 4-for-4 effort from the foul line. The Charleston, West Virginia native also had six rebounds, three steals and an assist.
The Golden Bears saw three players score 11 points each including senior
Elisha Boone, freshman
Isaiah Morgan and sophomore
Tamon Scruggs. Scruggs pulled down seven boards while Boone had five rebounds plus two steals.
Senior
Tommy Collins recorded seven points while fellow senior
Brandon Shingles and sophomore
Andreas Jönsson posted six points each.
The team finished 28-for-49 (57.1 percent) from the field and recorded 34 rebounds. The Trailblazers shot 28-for-52 (53.8 percent) and marked 16 rebounds.
WVU Tech will continue conference play when they travel to Indiana University East Saturday for a 3 p.m. tipoff in Richmond, Indiana.
