MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Asbury (Ky.) University secured the No. 1 seed in the River States Conference (RSC) Women's Soccer Championship and will have home-field advantage in the six-team, single-elimination playoff. The championship begins Saturday, November 9 with the quarterfinals and continues on Wednesday, November 13 with the semifinals and on Saturday, November 16 with the finals. 

Asbury (8-9-1, 7-2-1 RSC) beat Ohio Christian, 1-0, in double overtime in the final game of the regular season on Wednesday, November 6 to claim the top spot. The Eagles amassed 22 points in the standings to lead the conference. Asbury receives a bye into the semifinals and will host that game on November 13 at 7 p.m.

IU East (11-3-3, 6-1-3) engineered the best overall record in the conference and took the No. 2 seed in the RSC Championship. The Red Wolves also get a bye into the semifinals and will host that round November 13 at 5 p.m. IU East claimed runner-up in the regular season with 21 points.

Ohio Christian University (9-5-2, 6-2-2 RSC) is the No. 3 seed after compiling 20 points in the standings. The Trailblazers host No. 6 seed IU Kokomo (7-7-3, 3-4-3 RSC) in the quarterfinals on November 9 at 3 p.m. The Cougars put together a .500 overall record in their first season of competition and earned a playoff spot with Tuesday's tie with WVU Tech. They finished with 12 points and beat out Rio Grande for the final position.

WVU Tech (6-5-3, 5-2-3 RSC) claimed the No. 4 seed and will host the other quarterfinal game after earning 18 points in the standings. The Golden Bears welcome No. 5 seed Point Park (Pa.) University (6-11-1, 4-5-1 RSC) on November 9 at 5 p.m. Point Park earned 13 points for fifth place. 

The Ohio Christian-IU Kokomo winner will advance to play at IU East in the semifinals. The WVU Tech-Point Park winner will move on to face Asbury. The finals will be hosted by the highest-remaining seed. 

The RSC Championship winner will earn the conference's automatic qualification to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round, which begins November 22-23 at campus sites around the country.
