BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech women's basketball earned a 96-91 River States Conference (RSC) win over Ohio Christian University Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 7-6, 2-0 (RSC) while the Trailblazers move to 6-4, 0-1 (RSC).
Tech halted a three-game skid with the help of a huge third quarter where they outscored Ohio Christian 29-11. The Trailblazers held the advantage in points during the rest of the 40 minutes.
Junior
Brittney Justice had a standout night, pouring in a career-high 32 points and recording her 1,000
th point as a Golden Bear. She also finished with five rebounds, four assists and a block.
Fellow junior
Whittney Justice recorded 18 points to go with five boards, five assists and two steals.
Freshman
Brianna Ball also hit double-digits for the Gold and Blue, posting 14 points and marking two rebounds, two steals, two assists and two blocks.
Junior
Kathylee Pinnock Branford dished out a career- and game-best 12 assists while marking nine rebounds, eight points, a block and a steal.
Junior
Alexandria Gray grabbed nine rebounds to go with seven assists, five points, a block and a steal while senior
Carlie Biehl-Wilson had seven rebounds and six points.
The Golden Bears continue conference play when they travel to Indiana University East Saturday, December 7.
