BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech softball took game one of a River States Conference (RSC) doubleheader, 7-6, before falling, 3-9, to Indiana University Southeast Saturday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 14-20, 6-6 (RSC) while the Grenadiers move to 17-17, 8-4 (RSC).
Kayte Blandford finished 4-for-7 at the dish towards a home run, two RBI and a run scored.

Jacey Bertalan,
Kelsey Moore and
Kacie Cahill all tallied two hits each.
Moore knocked her sixth home run of the season and recorded five RBI and a run scored. She is currently ranked No. 27 in the nation (NAIA) in total home runs this season.
Daniels marked two RBI while Bertalan had one.
Karina Atanacio earned the W in the circle in game one and over the series pitched 7.0 innings towards three strike outs.
Taylor Dickerson threw for 4.1 innings towards three strike outs while
Madeline Olson (1.0 innings) and
Amanda McDonald (1.2 innings) struck out two batters each.
Tech will return to the field Thursday when they host Bluefield College in non-conference doubleheader action.
