PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- WVU Tech volleyball earned a 3-0 shutout River States Conference (RSC) victory at Carlow University Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears boost their record to 12-6, 1-1 (RSC) while the Celtics move to 6-5, 0-3 (RSC).
Junior
Sawyer Hawgood picked up a match-high 34 digs to go with two assists in Pittsburgh.
Senior
Katelyn Byrd led the attack, putting down ten kills while fellow senior
Konstantina Pateli had nine kills. Byrd also had 14 digs, a block solo and a block assist.
Pateli finished with 17 assists, 13 digs and two service aces while also marking two block assists.
Tech will continue conference play when they travel to University of Rio Grande Tuesday, October 1 for a 7 p.m. match.
