BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's soccer have now won three in-a-row after earning a 4-1 victory over River States Conference (RSC) opponent Midway University on Homecoming Saturday.
The Golden Bears move to .500 this season with a 3-3 overall record and are perfect in the conference, 2-0. The Eagles now hold a record of 5-4, 0-2 (RSC).
Sophomore
Brittany Dye started the scoring for Tech and finished with two goals. Dye first connected with senior
Veronica Nobles in the 13
th minute and then posted a score off a free kick in minute 78.
Junior
Yasmin Del Valle marked her fourth goal of the season off an assist from senior
Miriam Cortez in minute 70.
Freshman
Anna Baker was assisted by fellow classmate
Sydney Krakat in the 74
th minute. The score marked her third in 2019.
Sophomore
Jenna Miller (3-3), protected the net for the full game, making eight stops while allowing just one goal. Miller is currently ranked No. 26 in the nation (NAIA) with 8.2 saves per game.
The Gold and Blue will continue conference play when they travel to Ohio Christian University Saturday, October 5.
