BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech men's basketball picked up another River States Conference (RSC) victory after defeating Asbury University 99-83 in Beckley Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 14-7, 9-1 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 7-15, 3-8 (RSC).
Tech leads the RSC East while Indiana University East (7-1) follows at 1.0 games back. The Eagles are currently sixth in the RSC West at 6.5 games back.
Junior Arrey, a junior from Backlick, Ohio, posted his eighth double-double this season with 17 points and ten assists. Arrey also recorded two steals and two rebounds.
Fellow classmate
Andreas Jönsson was 4-for-7 from three-point range and led Tech's scorers with 18 points. He also had three boards and an assist.
Freshman
Andrew Work came off the bench to pour in 13 points while grabbing four rebounds and marking two assists and a block.
Senior
Dominik King finished with 13 oints, four rebounds, two assists and a block.
Freshman
Justin Phillips rounded out Tech's top offensive contributors with a career-high 11 points to go with two rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal.

Darrin Martin added five assists, four points and a block.

Brent Daniels led the way under the boards for the Gold and Blue with six boards to go with four points, two blocks and an assist.
The Golden Bears finished 32-for-62 (51.6 percent) from the field while the Eagles shot 31-for-63 (49.2 percent). The Eagles barely won the battle in rebounds, 36-34.
WVU Tech will return to Summersville, West Virginia to host Indiana University Kokomo next Saturday, February 1.
