BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech men's soccer recorded a 4-0 shutout win against Brescia University Thursday evening. The River States Conference (RSC) victory gives the Golden Bears a record of 3-1, 3-1 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 4-5-1, 1-2-1 (RSC).
Goals were recorded by freshman
Anders Teigland Sandsto (27' and 65') and seniors
Pablo Muniz Rocandio (51') and
Manuel Segarra (68').
The assists came from sophomores
Luis Alejandro Jaimes (27') and
Ruben Martin Macias (51' and 68') and Rocandio (65').
Freshman
Guillermo Crespo made one stop in the win protecting the net.
Brescia's keeper, Ruben Burgos, was forced to stop five Gold and Blue attempts after 80 minutes.
Tech is scheduled to travel to Point Park University October 22 for the next contest.
