PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- WVU Tech women's soccer posted a 4-2 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Carlow University Saturday. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 4-4-2, 3-4-2 (RSC) while the Celtics move to 3-5, 3-5 (RSC).Â
Junior
Brittany Dye struck first, posting a goal off a penalty kick in minute seven.
Fellow junior
Jodie Pallant recorded her first Golden Bear goal, assisted by sophomore
Sydney Krakat, just 30 seconds later to take the score to 2-0.Â
Carlow marked the next two goals from Haley Huber (13') and Rachel Toogood (17').
Senior
Domenica Moncayo found the back of the net for Tech's third goal in the 27th minute.
The final score of the game was credited to Dye who now has eight goals this season and is currently ranked No. 16 in the nation (NAIA) for total goals.
Junior
Jenna Miller protected the net for a full game, making six saves for the win. Miller currently holds a national (NAIA) ranking of No. 11 in total saves with 59.
Tech continues conference play when they host Oakland City University for Senior Day October 31.
