BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech men's soccer will head into the Spring part of its 2020 campaign riding a six-game winning streak after defeating University of the Cumberlands 1-0 Friday evening. The Golden Bears boost its record to 7-1 while the Patriots move to 0-3-1.
Tech's lone and the winning goal came from sophomore
Luis Alejandro Jaimes who received the perfect pass from fellow classmate
Jason Constable.
Jaimes leads the team with six goals so far this season after finding the back of the net in the 38th minute.
Freshman
Jacques D'Monte protected the goal for 90 minutes towards the shutout W after eight saves.
Cumberlands' keeper, Nathan Hurt, was forced to stop four Golden Bear attempts and allowed one goal.
