RIO GRANDE, Ohio --Â WVU Tech women's cross country earned the title of River States Conference (RSC) Champion after a standout race Saturday in Rio Grande.Â
Senior
Kaeley Boyd led the Golden Bears, crossing second overall with a time of 20:20 in the 5k. The Alderson, West Virginia native earned RSC All-Conference First Team honors and was named Tech's Champion of Character. One athlete from each school who best represents the NAIA Champions of Character core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship is awarded this honor.Â
Junior
Kara Sandusky was next for the Gold and Blue, posting a third place finish with a time of 20:38. Sandusky, who hails from McChord Airforce Base, Washington, also earned First Team RSC All-Conference honors as finishers 1-7 earned those accolades.
Senior
Jaelynn Parks finished with a time for First Team All-Conference honors as she was fifth overall with a time of 20:44.
Sophomore
Carmen Camino Falcon was eighth overall (21:01) towards RSC All-Conference Second Team accolades.
Finishing out Tech's top five was sophomore
Michaela O'Dell who was 20th overall (22:09) in a field of 97 competitors.
