BECKLEY, West Virginia -- No. 25 WVU Tech women's basketball now has 16 consecutive victories after defeating River States Conference (RSC) opponent Carlow University 60-51. The Golden Bears boost their record to 22-6, 14-0 (RSC) while the Celtics move to 8-17, 3-9 (RSC).
Tech had three Golden Bears hit double-digits including juniors
Alexandria Gray (11),
Whittney Justice (11) and
Brittney Justice (10).
Senior
Laura Requena poured in nine points to go with four rebounds.
Gray pulled down a game-high nine boards while junior
Kathylee Pinnock Branford had six.
As a team, the Gold and Blue tallied 49 rebounds compared to the Celtics' 25. Tech also forced 25 turnovers and grabbed 17 steals.
The Golden Bears will continue conference play when they travel to Point Park University Saturday, February 15.
