PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- No. 25 WVU Tech women's basketball is riding a 17-game winning streak after a 96-89 decision at Point Park University Saturday. The River States Conference (RSC) victory gives the Golden Bears a record of 23-6, 15-0 (RSC) while the Pioneers move to 16-12, 6-8 (RSC).
Tech had four Golden Bears hit double-digits including a game-high 26 points from
Alexandria Gray. Gray also posted four steals, three rebounds and two assists.
Brittney Justice led the way under the boards with eight rebounds while pouring in 25 points.
Whittney Justice finished with 20 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Laura Requena rounded out the top offensive contributors with ten points while marking four rebounds, an assist and a block.
The team finished with a very efficient 66.7 percent (34-for-51) shooting from the field while holding the Pioneers to 47.3 percent (35-for-74). Point Park won the battle under the boards, 33-28.
The Gold and Blue will finish out the regular season Saturday, February 22 at University of Rio Grande.
