SUMMERSVILLE, West Virginia -- No. 15 WVU Tech men's basketball dropped its first game in their last 13 contests as No. 22 Indiana University Kokomo earned a 73-64 victory in a semifinal of the River States Conference (RSC) Championship Saturday.
The Golden Bears will move onto the NAIA DII National Championship with an overall record of 23-8 while the Cougars will continue to the RSC Championship with a record of 26-6.
Junior Arrey led Tech's scorers with 16 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Juvante' Hayes added 14 points while recording three rebounds and three assists.
Dominik King finished with 12 points, three rebounds, three steals and an assist.
Andrew Work posted nine points, six rebounds and a block.
The Gold and Blue were held to 34.9 percent (22-for-63) shooting from the field while the Cougars finished at 47.4 percent (27-for-57). IU Kokomo also led the way under the boards, 46-31.
The Golden Bears will travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the NAIA DII National Championship March 11-17.
