CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- The WVU Tech men's basketball squad sailed past Ohio Christian University Saturday 84-69 for their third consecutive win. The Golden Bears boost their record to 6-4 while the Trailblazers move to 2-8.
A dominant first half helped propel Tech past Ohio Christian, outscoring the Traiblazers 46-13. The Gold and Blue finished 30-for-50 (60.0 percent) from the field and 10-for-20 (50.0 percent) from beyond the arc.
Senior
Tamon Scruggs recorded a game-high 21 points including finishing 5-for-7 from three-point range. The South Charleston, West Virginia native also had five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Fellow Senior Andreas Jonsson had three made three's towards 18 points.
Sophomore
Darrin Martin marked 17 points, four boards and three assists.
Senior
Juvante' Hayes rounded out the top scorers with 16 points while grabbing five rebounds and three assists.
Sophomore
Andrew Work came off the bench to pour in six points, get four rebounds and take two steals.
Tech is scheduled to play again Tuesday, February 2 when they head to University of Rio Grande.
