BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball is enjoying a three-match winning streak in River States Conference (RSC) play after defeating University of Rio Grande 3-1 (25-23, 15-25, 25-17, 25-20) Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears boost their record to 11-14, 7-4 (RSC) while the RedStom move to 7-12, 5-6 (RSC).
Julia McClanahan put out the match's high of 45 assists while recording four kills and four digs.
Valentina Abondano picked up a match-best 18 digs to go with three assists.
Ana Muñiz Rocandio finished with a double-double of a match-high 18 kills and 13 digs.
Ariana Gentzler put down 16 kills while
Coralys Maldonado Rivera had eight.
Brooklyn Cook recorded six digs and
Morgan Shablom posted five.
Tech continues conference play Friday when they host Indiana University Kokomo in Van Meter Gym.
