RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- No. 4 seed WVU Tech fell to No. 1 University of Rio Grande 5-1 in a semifinal of the River States Conference (RSC) Championship.
The Golden Bears lone score came from
Luis Alejandro Jaimes who sailed the ball past Rio's keeper Daniel Merino.
The RedStorm finished with seven shots on frame while Tech had three, all from Alejandro Jaimes.
In goal,
Nico Villalobos made two saves in 90 minutes while Merino also had two stops.
The Gold and Blue finish out the conference tournament with a record of 10-7-2 while Rio Grande moves to 15-2-1.Â
