PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania --Â (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball opened River States Conference (RSC) play at Point Park University with an 82-60 win Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears now boast a record of 4-2, 1-0 (RSC) while the Pioneers move to 2-2, 0-1 (RSC).
Tech had four players hit double-digits including a 25 points, ten rebounds double-double effort from
Tamon Scruggs.
Juvante' Hayes and Andreas Jönsson both hit four from beyond the arc, Hayes poured in 17 points while Jönsson had 12.
Andrew Work also recorded 12 points to go with four boards.
Philip Mullins came off the bench to produce nine points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals for a standout evening.
Ashton Parker pulled down six boards to go with two points and two steals.
The Gold and Blue will return to Pittsburgh Saturday to compete in another RSC match-up at Carlow University.
