PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- WVU Tech women's basketball took down Carlow University 74-43 in River States Conference (RSC) action Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears are undefeated in conference play, 2-0, and hold an overall record of 2-4 while the Celtics move to 4-6, 0-2 (RSC).
Three players hit double-digits for Tech including a game-best 14 points from
Elle Baker. Baker, who came off the bench, also pulled down six rebounds and had two blocks.
Brittney Justice had 11 points while
Whittney Justice recorded ten for Tech. The twins both had five rebounds while Whittney dished four assists and Brittney had two.
Brianna Ball led the way under the basket with a game-high 11 boards to go with eight points and a block.
Alyssa Taylor finished with nine rebounds and seven points.
As a team, Tech held the edge on bench points (34-15), points in the paint (36-12) and fast break points (20-5).
Tech will continue conference play tomorrow, Tuesday when they travel to University of Rio Grande.
