BLUEFIELD, Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball is now enjoying a ten-game winning streak after a battle at Bluefield University Monday evening. The Golden Bears move to 12-2 this season after an 86-76 showing while the Rams hold a record of 8-3.Â
Tamon Scruggs led all players with 21 points to go with four rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Ashton Parker poured in 15 points while recording a game-high nine rebounds and three blocks.
Gunner Short also hit double-digits for the Gold and Blue, finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Andrew Work had nine points while Andreas Jönsson posted eight, both pulled down four boards.
As a team, Tech finished 28-for-62 (45.2 percent) from the floor and held the Rams to a 22-for-61 (36.1 percent) effort.
The Golden Bears will return to River States Conference play when they host Indiana University East December 21 in Beckley, West Virginia.
