BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball is now enjoying an eight-game winning streak as they battled to an 81-70 win over non-conference opponent Washington Adventist University. The Golden Bears boast an overall record of 11-2 while the Shock move to 5-5 this season.
Tamon Scruggs led Tech's scorers with 23 points while recording six rebounds and four assists.
Thomas Hailey came off the bench to record a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds to go with two blocks.
Gunner Short poured in 17 points while
Ashton Parker finished with 11 points.
Andrew Work posted seven rebeounds and six points.
Philip Mullins dished a game-high six assists and had three boards.
The team finished 31-for-58 (53.4 percent) from the floor while holding Washington Adventist to 22-for-57 (38.6 percent).
Tech will return to the court Saturday, December 11 when they play host to University of the Cumberlands.
