PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- No. 10 WVU Tech women's basketball defeated No. 11 Carlow University 96-48 in a first round of the River States Conference (RSC) Championship Monday evening. The Golden Bears will host No. 9 Midway University (13-7) Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. for a quarterfinal match-up.
Senior
Brittney Justice is now Tech's all-time leading scorer with 1,592 total career points after she led the Golden Bears with a double-double effort of 20 points and 13 rebounds over the Celtics.
Savannah Shamblin, who hails from Cross Lanes, West Virginia, held the record before with a total of 1,588 points only to surpass
Nia Nolan who finished with 1,568 career points.
Sophomore
Brianna Ball also recorded a double-double, her fourth of the season, with 14 points and 10 rebounds to go with three assists.
Senior
Alexandria Gray finished with 15 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals.
Fellow senior
Makayla Jones came off the bench to produce 12 points and a career-high seven rebounds.

Whittney Justice also hit double-figures with ten points to go with two boards and two steals.
As a team, Tech finished 48.8 percent (39-for-80) from the field and held their opponent to just 28.3 percent shooting (17-for-60).
Tech is 8-1 all-time against Midway, its next opponent, including a 75-67 victory over the Eagles January 26, 2021.
