BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball blanked NCAA DII Concord University 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-15) Thursday evening in Van Meter Gym.
The attack was led by
Katelyn Byrd who finished with a match-high ten kills to go with five digs, a block solo and a block assist.
Ana Alonso Olea followed with nine kills while
Coralys Maldonado Rivera had eight. Olea and Rivera also had a block solo and a block assist each.
Lucie Strasser dished a match-best 19 assists to go with four digs, a service ace and a kill.
Julia McClanahan recorded 13 assists, two digs and two kills.
Sawyer Hawgood picked up the match's best 16 digs and posted six assists and a service ace.
Ariana Gentzler finished with five kills, two block solos, a block assist and two digs and
Ana Muniz Rocandio had nine digs, five kills and a service ace.
Tech will travel to Concord University for another match-up this Saturday, April 17.
