BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech (6-11, 2-2 RSC) earned a 3-0 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Ohio Valley University (1-4, 1-3 RSC) with scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-21 Friday evening.
Sophomore
Julia McClanahan put out 28 assists and had nine digs for the Gold and Blue.
Senior
Valentina Abondano picked up seven digs while sophomore
Emma Leach recorded five.
Sophomore Ana Muñiz Rocandio and seniors
Ariana Gentzler and
Coralys Maldonado Rivera had seven kills each. Gentzler also put down three block solos and two block assists while Muñiz Rocandio recorded five digs.
Junior
Brooklyn Cook finished with six kills and sophomore
Morgan Shablom and freshman
Alicia Cervera Sospedra had four a piece.
The team will stay at home for more conference action tomorrow when they host Ohio Christian University in Van Meter Gym at 12 p.m.
