RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- Golden Bear volleyball has won three consecutive River States Conference (RSC) matches after defeating University of Rio Grande 3-1 (22-25, 25-11, 25-13, 26-24). WVU Tech is now 8-11, 4-2 (RSC) while the RedStorm move to 5-7, 3-3 (RSC).
Ana Muñiz Rocandio led the attack with 15 kills and had seven digs and two block solos.
Julia McClanahan, who just earned another River States Conference Setter of the Week honor, put out 48 assists to go with four digs, three block assists and three kills.
Valentina Abondano picked up 16 digs to lead the back row defense for the Gold and Blue.
Coralys Maldonado Rivera (12),
Morgan Shablom (10) and
Brooklyn Cook (10) also hit double-digits on the attack.
WVU Tech will play to keep the streak alive Saturday when they travel to Asbury University.Â
