BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech saw five Golden Bears hit double-digits and posted a dominant second quarter (20-8) to score a 75-66 victory over Siena Heights University Sunday. Tech now holds a record of 5-10 while the Saints move to 13-4 this season.
Brianna Ball had a standout game with her third double-double of the season, posting 15 points and 14 rebounds. The Cincinnati, Ohio native also posted four blocks for the Gold and Blue.
Whittney Justice, who hit three from beyond the arc, poured in a team-high 18 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists.
Brittney Justice hit two three's towards 16 points while recording six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Alanis Hill finished with 14 points, eight boards, five assists, three steals and a block. Hill was a perfect 4-for-4 from the bonus line.
Rounding out the top scorers was
Alyssa Taylor who had 12 points, seven rebounds and a steal.
As a team, Tech held the Saints to just 32.3 percent (20-for-62) shooting from the floor while also dominating under the boards, 51-32.
Up next, the Golden Bears will host Indiana University Southeast in River States Conference action at Appalachian Bible College Thursday, January 6.
