BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's basketball earned a 95-79 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Indiana University Southeast Thursday. The Golden Bears are now 4-2 in conference play and 6-10 overall as the Grenadiers move to 2-5, 6-10 (RSC).
Brittney Justice matched her career-high with 32 points including a 4-for-7 effort from three-point range. The senior also posted a double-double with ten rebounds to go with two assists.
Brianna Ball, who hails from Cincinnatti, Ohio, came off the bench to pour in 17 points and grab six rebounds in Tech's second consecutive win.
Alanis Hill was one rebound short of a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. She also dished a game-high seven assists for the Gold and Blue. Hill is currently ranked No. 32 in the nation (NAIA) with 4.7 assists per game.
Whittney Justice, who also hit four from beyond the arc, posted 13 points, three rebounds, two steals and two assists for the Gold and Blue.
Alyssa Taylor rounded out the top scorers for the Golden Bears, finishing with ten points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Makayla Jones pulled down six boards while
Elle Baker and
Emilee Whitt had three each.
The team will continue conference play Sunday when they host Midway University at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
