Golden Bears announced to CSC Academic All-District Soccer Teams

Women's and Men's Soccer

The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution. Athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at their current institution and been on a college roster in that sport for two years.

WVU Tech women's soccer is represented by juniors Isabella Brandon (Defender | Forensic Investigation | Sydney, NSW, Australia) and Emilee Whitt (Midfielder | Forensic Investigation | South Point, Ohio) and senior Eugenia Marcelli (Defender | Mechanical Engineering | Rome, Italy).

The men's team landed seniors Luis Alejandro Jaimes (Forward | Business Management | Floridablanca, Santander, Colombia), Ruben Martin Macias (Defender | Athletic Coaching Education | Las Palmas de GC, Spain), Andrija Milenkovic (Defender | Construction Management | Belgrade, Serbia) and Abdelrahman Rabie (Midfielder | Mechanical Engineering | Al Minya, Egypt).

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
