BECKLEY, West Virginia -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball won an exciting match-up over the previously undefeated River States Conference (RSC) foe Point Park University Saturday. The Golden Bears move to 4-2, 2-0 (RSC) while the Pioneers hold a record of 5-1, 1-1 (RSC).
Junior
Ashton Parker led the way for the Gold and Blue with 16 points to go with six assists, four rebounds and a block.
Fellow junior
Keondre' King hit two from three-point range and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line towards 14 points. King also had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Brant Smithers, a freshman, came off the bench to play many minutes (30) for Tech and finish with 12 points, three boards and an assist.
Redshirt sophomore
Bryce Radford put in ten points to go with three rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Just short of a double-double, freshman
Will Hill finished with ten rebounds and nine points. Hill also had three assists and a block.
WVU Tech will continue conference play when they travel to Ohio Christian University Tuesday, November 22 for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
