BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball posted a 3-1 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Indiana University Southeast with scores of 22-25, 26-24, 25-22 and 25-18 Friday evening. The Golden Bears move to 8-23, 5-11 (RSC) while the Grenadiers hold a record of 12-14, 8-9 (RSC).
Freshman
Emily Stack led the attack for the Gold and Blue with a career-high 12 kills.
SeniorsÂ
Coralys Maldonado Rivera and
Brooklyn Cook put down 11 kills each. Cook also picked up 14 digs.
Fellow senior
Ana Muniz Rocandio finished with 10 kills to round out the top offense.Â
On defense, junior
Julia McClanahan had 18 digs while freshman
Yukari Furuichi Blanchard recorded 12 digs.
Sophomore libero
Brooke Presley had 11 digs while freshman
Alyson Holdren tallied ten digs. Holdren also produced a team-best three service aces.
McClanahan also handled the ball, passing out the match's best 45 assists.Â
The Golden Bears will finish out the regular season Saturday when they host Indiana University East at 12 p.m. in Van Meter Gym.
