Williamsburg, Kentucky -- WVU Tech women's basketball is enjoying a four-game winning streak after defeating Campbellsville - Harrodsburg (82-61) and Simmons College of Kentucky (81-66) during the Patriot Classic Thursday and Friday.
The Golden Bears outscored their opponents 163-127 including a team-best 36 points from junior
Faith N. Silva during the classic. Silva knocked down nine three-pointers and had nine boards, five assists and four boards.
Freshman
Janaya Berry poured in 27 points while senior
Alyssa Taylor and freshman
Alva Hedrich had 24 each. Hedrich also pulled down 15 rebounds while Taylor had 11 and Berry ten.
Junior
Valiyah Yazzie finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists while sophomore
Ca'Vashia Johnson had 17 rebounds, 14 points and 14 assists.
Under the boards, junior
Breeana Grigsby had 11 defensive rebounds towards 12 total to go with eight points.
Tech's next game is scheduled for Thursday, November 10 when they play host to Shawnee State University at Appalachian Bible College.Â
