Box Score BECKLEY, West Virginia -- No. 1-seed WVU Tech defeated No. 5 Oakland City University 1-0 in a semifinal of the River States Conference (RSC) Championship Wednesday evening. The Golden Bears (14-2-3) will next host conference rival No. 2 University of Rio Grande (13-3-2) in the RSC Championship game Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Golden Bear net minder, senior
Lucas Rivera Paramio, made two stops in the shutout W. Oakland City's keeper, Laurin Aumueller, was forced to stop six Tech attempts while allowing one goal in 90 minutes.
WVU Tech held the edge on corner kicks, 4-3 while outshooting the Mighty Oaks 9(7) - 7(3).
The Gold and Blue last faced the RedStorm October 15 when the two teams ended even at 1-1. Rio Grande defeated No. 6-seed Indiana University East 3-0 to advance to the championship.
